Two Marines make an Atlantic QSO with their HAM radio’s

Two Marines make an Atlantic QSO with their HAM radio’s, the data; 10 February 2010, 22:20z, 7.080MHz in the mode Phone SSB. Remarkably, this radio connection has shown that these two Marines (HAM’s) served in the ‘70 and ‘80 in the same unit of the Royal Marines in the Netherlands. Further more it is particular to this QSO; Willem WP3UX lives now in Puerto-Rico and Rinus PA3GLH in the Netherlands.

Twee Mariniers maken een Atlantische QSO met hun HAM radio’s, te weten op; 10 februari 2010, 22:20z, 7.080MHz in de mode Phone SSB. Deze verbinding is opmerkelijk gezien dat deze twee Sobats (HAM’s) in de jaren ’70 en’80 diende bij de zelfde eenheid bij het Korps Mariniers in Nederland. Verder is het bijzonder aan dit QSO; Willem WP3UX woont nu in Puerto-Rico en Rinus PA3GLH in Nederland.

International Space Station with the call signs NA1SS / RS0ISS, 20 March 2009, 21:48z , with 5/9 rapport, QRG 437.800MHz up and 145.800MHz down in the mode phone FM.

QSO with the first KP4 astronaut in space Joseph. M. (Joe) Acaba (KE5DAR) on board ISS.

I was the first KP4 HAM from Puerto-Rico Island which have a QSO with Joe on board ISS, mission STS-119. All cfm by QSLcard.
